All going well first outing in my new shoes , 1.5 K in and I experienced a painful pull in the back of my right calf. I then had to endure the limping walk of shame home for half an hour. Can hardly weight bear . Now sitting with an ice pack feeling very very sorry for myself 😩

I don’t blame you. Be gentle with yourself, these things happen.

End of W7 I pulled a muscle in my back and was just furious and inconsolable. Running will be here when you are ready and hopefully this will be minor x

That's tough for you Amanda, especially since it was your first run in your new shoes, please don't feel sorry for yourself, rest, if it continues to be sore, see a doctor.

Im wondering if the shoes changed the way I run and contributed πŸ˜–

Like everything new Amanda, particularly new shoes you have to gradually get your feet accustomed to them, probably wasn't advisable to immediately start running in them, perhaps you should have gradually got your feet used to your new shoes by going for a short walk or run in them.

Your hairdresser is wise! That’s just what he would do!

So sorry this happened to you. I hope some rest and a night sleeping on it helps.

Aw, Amanda, I feel for you. Take care of yourself 😘
