Don’t even......

Four times. FOUR TIMES it’s taken me to complete week 7, run 2. Wanna know why? Because my bowels have sabotaged me at 17/18 minutes EVERY TIME.

But tonight I did it. Yaaayyy. Finally I can move on to run 3 and hopefully put week 7 behind me (literally and metaphorically).

No-one warned me of this particular hazard. 😡😡🤣🤣

Ooh i have had same problem but been too shy to mention it . Had to abort two runs because of bowels . Drink half a cuo of black coffee with sugar before you go ...it makes you go to loo .

Hahha I know the feeling! I make sure I go before I run now after I thought I was going to literally poo my pants on one run!

Hot drink or 2 about half an hour before I set off seems to do the trick!

It's remarkably common. To the point where some experienced runners take loperamide (over the counter anti-diarrhoeal) before a big run. But it does seem to be something that goes away for many of us eventually.

(Have certainly used the coffee strategy with patients years ago)

God I hope it goes away.
