I started week 7 run 1 a week ago and had to abort after only a couple of minutes as I thought i was going to throw up in the canal. The otters would not have been happy!
So I sort of lost momentum after that what with the event I had been aiming for being cancelled and also knowing that losing a week had blown my other goal of graduating on my birthday. But today I gave myself a shake and strapped on the trusty trainers.
I am so sooooo happy i did! It was the most fab 25 minute run yet. When Michael said it was a minute to go and why not spped up - took off like a gazelle and felt mildly disappointed when he said it was over. Well - i was a gazelle in my head at any rate 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Bring on the next one!!!!

I see me as an eight stone, twenty something type of gal. If others can’t see it it’s their problem not mine. If you see gazelle you go girl. It’s funny how your mind plays with your ability. I’m going to try music tomorrow for the first time (I was scared I’d mess up Michael telling me what my time was) maybe that’ll allow me to focus beyond the scabby hills I know are coming ooh and spring down the others like a gazelle. 🏃♀️😁
Yes lets keep the gazelle going - I'm going to stop using the snail - it did its work and now I'm going with the more positive image!! I have music AND Michael. The music automatically lowers in volume when he comes on so his voice is to the fore. I love running with music.
Yes!! Ive only seen them once though. But someone filmed them a while back and posted it on twitter. A whole family of them! They were running about on the embankment right in the open. I think we have the conservation volunteers to thank fir cleaning up the canal.
