Just got home and here are my stats:

Nerves beforehand - off the scale

Number of people overtaken - 0

Overtaken by - millions

Speed run - 🐌

Adoration for my loyal MJ - huge

But, most importantly, the level of satisfaction I felt upon completion was (and still is an hour later) epic! My grin was ear to ear, no-one else I saw running this morning could possibly have felt any more proud!

I ran for 20 minutes straight. I wasn’t a runner, now I am and I LOVE it.

Week 6 I’m about to come and kick your b*tt!

Now I can’t wait until Monday ......... 😩❀️

Have wonderful days today you wonderful bunch people, and happy running! πŸ˜€

You definitely can do it! Let us know how you get on! πŸ˜€

Hello, lovely lady in the cool shades! Well done. A massive landmark run smashed!

Enjoy that feeling - you might get pretty much the same feeling in the final run of next week.

Take the next two runs carefully. You can do them but they aren’t as easy as they look. Go slowly - they can catch you out.

From this post and many others I can tell the bug has bitten. And there is no antidote. Hooked on running - enjoy it!

Thank you Jay, it certainly has bitten, and 5 short weeks ago I hated the idea of running! What was I thinking? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Same as me - it’s for maniacs who don’t understand that exercise is just a mad way to get injuries and feel tired.

If only I’d listened to the many people over the years who have said β€œtry it, you’ll love it”. Instead I sneered or laughed.

I can feel the excitement and pleasure from here, massive congratulations for your latest achievement, long may it continue!

Thank you so much! I was so apprehensive about it as it seemed a huge leap up from 8 minutes, but as virtually everyone has said before, it’s totally doable! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜€

That's the beauty of the programme! I am increasingly convinced that it is at least as much down to improved mental resilience as it is physical fitness

Agree 100%! πŸ‘πŸ»

So proud of you.....enjoy the tremendous high and keep grinning ear-to-ear!!!😁

I will! I was looking out to see if you posted and really pleased to hear it went so well. I can't believe I'm looking forward to finishing work to do a run, not sure what's happened to me!

I also have a snazzy new cap and running top to trial, hopefully both will keep me cooler.

Huge β€˜well done’ ! 20 mins is fantastic. I completed W4R1 this morning and was so thrilled to run 2 lots of 5 mins. I don’t know how this programme works but it really does and the encouragement on this site is amazing. Can’t wait for next run - not words I ever thought I’d say πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

You’re so right there! It’s such a clever programme. I’ve attempted running once in my life prior to this, about 15 years ago. I had no idea what I was doing, ran too far too soon, crashed and burned. Who knew C25K was so effective?!

Have fun with your next run! Report back too, don’t forget! β€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
