Hi, I’ve just done wk8r2, and I’m finally taking notice of speed. I think I am quite slow as I’ve just done my 28 minute run / jog at 6.5 km per hour and whilst taking the walks out I have done 3.2km, miles off 5k. So I’m thinking an extra .5 k per hour on each run until I hit 10 km per hour. Still in the 30 minutes, I don’t think I have that energy yet, but am I on the right way of thinking 🙄🏃♀️
Need for speed!!: Hi, I’ve just done wk8r2, and... - Couch to 5K

Hello 2707, don't push things too much, as I have been told many times, it's not about speed it is about time, so take it slow and steady, whatever is a comfortable pace. You have to train your legs to become runners legs and that takes time.

Hi 2707 the aim of the programme is to get you running for 30 mins. To graduate all you have to do is do this 3 times - it doesn't matter if you don't get to 5k. In fact according to a survey of people on this site 90% didn't get to 5k. Once you have graduated you can think about working at increasing your speed if that's what you want to do x

I graduated a few weeks, ago and will never run 5k in 30 mins. And thats fine. I can run for 30 mins!!! I am increasing the time slowly now and I will get to 5k but not in 30mins. I'm a happy snail! 🐌
