Yesterday I have completed week 9 run 2 , but still distance covered is around 4k . Am I too slow ? Please suggest how can I improve my speed.

Well done, I’m at same stage. No answers re: distance and speed as I’m concentrating on length of time and building stamina given I couldn’t run at all 9 weeks ago!

I’ve just completed week 9 run 1, and I’m not even making 4K so you’re faster than me! T this stage (and in this heat) it’s the time spent running that counts. I know if I pushed myself to go faster, I would struggle, so I’m concentrating on keeping going. Best of luck x

Never mind your speed for now. It will improve as your strength and fitness increases, which takes time of course. Be happy to be running regularly and injury-free. Avoid the temptation to try and do too much too soon 😃👍

I’m one run behind you and only doing 5k if I include the 5 mins walking either end, so probably about the same as you. Hopefully it will come but in the meantime I’m pretty chuffed/amazed that I can run for 30 mins without stopping!

Don’t worry about your speed.

Your aim for now is just three lots of thirty minutes. The 5k bit is a bit of a misnomer, much discussed.

We can help you get to 5k if that’s what you want to do once you’ve graduated.

Well done for getting to this point. I'm at the same point as you and am running for 4.3k in the 30 minutes. At the moment just run for the 30 minutes and we can work on reaching 5k after that! Enjoy the last run and your graduation. When are you going to do it?
