The people who have been in calorie deficit while doing the programe will have seen a weight loss. The people who went into caloric surplus by eating more becaus ethey are running will have seen a weight gain.

I’ve had a lot of celebration cakes with all the graduations - so yes but in the wrong way ☝️!! 😂😂😂 (just kidding)

I totally cut out sugar 8 weeks ago and if it has more than 5g per 100g I just don't eat it. I lost nearly 2 stone before starting the C25K so I will be interested to see what difference that makes to weight loss

Combined with a healthy diet cutting out junk and using myFitnessPal to track and keep to a daily deficit of about 500 calories, I'm at a loss of 22.5lbs since starting C25k in April. I graduated on Friday but it took me a bit longer than 9 weeks due to some reruns and life getting in the way.

Nope. I was hoping my jeans might get slightly looser but they haven't. I don't have scales so can't be 100% sure. I've been starving and had to eat lots of ice-cream due to the weather. I did improve my diet too (except for the ice-cream). I'm not really carrying much extra, I'm just out of shape.

Me but I've been following a diet plan as this was my aim to loose weight and tone up

I have but I have bn very strict maybe too strict with what I eat. I've went from dress size 16 in feb to 10/12 now and people say I'm half the size I used to be ( fat all my life) I have cut out crisps n chocolate on an every day basis I still have treats but don't eat the whole big bar of chocolate but should have taken weight loss slower n I might not have so much saggy skin now.

Don’t let the nay-sayers get you down. Keep up your program and your runs. Everything will tighten up!

I should add too that since Jan I started a Hitt workout and have long walks everyday and totally turned my sitting in sofa live around being more activie

Maybe it'll come. If you increase your strength (ie build more muscle) you'll burn more fuel. I find doing jobs like decorating makes me lose weight just because I'm too busy and too covered in paint to stop and snack. I also once lost an inch round my waist learning how to salsa.

Absolutely! Everyone says how much weight I’ve lost and I’ve put on half a stone!!!!!!! 😭😂

I'm dropping weight at just over 1kg/week but this is more to do with diet than exercise.

I agree with ccarter100. Keep running and you will tone up.

Yes I’ve lost 10.7kg in 11weeks. Stalled just before graduation because of injury so still one run to go and haven’t run for 2 weeks. Also gave up bread and have been eating more healthily. Half way to my target weight! Xx

I've reduced my calorie intake to 1200 daily from around 1400-1500 and have lost 16lbs by combining this with running. Hasn't felt like I have had to make any sacrifices and in fact am not long in from sharing a t-bone steak. When I put so much effort/determination into running, it seems easier for me to eat healthily and I still have what I enjoy in moderation. Interestingly, after a run I often am not even hungry and have to make sure I eat dinner.

You might not lose weight but your body shape may change

I'd like my body shape to change to something like, well, George Clooney I guess. Is that a realistic goal? :-)

Some do some don't... but they do get fitter.. and feel better and they can run:)

I prefer to measure rather than weigh myself these days. I look and feel so much better than I did when I was at a lower weight but not running. I try and do some tummy toning exercises now as well. My advice is to eat as healthily as you can, keep running and you will soon be seeing a difference when you look in the mirror. Bin the scales!

Yes 😎, happily weight loss, but then I had plenty to lose 🙃.

Me too! I've dropped a fair amount, but that's down to a combination of exercise (running plus) and being slightly more sensible about what I eat and how often. It's not been linear, but it coming off.
