It was on my Facebook account this afternoon, its very new and isn't yet showing on their website listing but the link address is below.

NHS Choices have launched a 12 week weight loss guide to help you lose weight the healthy way and learn the skills to keep it off.

Thanks for telling us about this. I thought "Great!" I was disappointed with the 12 week weight loss 'programme' compared with C25K, granted that weight loss is a more complex issue than building up to running for 30 minutes 3 times a week. A missed opportunity with not enough money spent on it. It also links to some pretty contradictory stuff - apparently you have to be pretty fit to run. It's a good job so many of us here didn't see that!

I'm going to give some of the short exercise routines a go though.

I haven't read the whole thing yet but that worrys me if they are saying you have to be fit to run!!! Heavens above what is C25K all about, getting fit and getting off the couch!!! I would say you have to have good mobility and a pair of trainers. :)

Heck I didn't have good mobility or a pair of trainers when I started.

Jeepers GoogleMe what did you put on your feet then?

My walking boots. And I wore normal clothes and carried my normal rather full backpack 'handbag' on my back. And if that meant long knitted skirt through brambles, so be it. (I am not one of those people for whom going out and spending a lot of money is a way of ensuring commitment out of guilt)
