I can’t believe it! My first ever early morning run, I got up at 6.15 and it was lovely and cool(ish). I thought I would do 5k to get my July virtual medal and when I finished I saw I had done it in 39 minutes exactly! Chuffed 😃

A terrific run Bridget, and well done for getting out so early. I love the light and peace at that time of day.

There were a few more people around than I expected to see with my hair looking like I’d had an electric shock 😬 but it was peaceful and cool 😊

Fortunately I’ve never bumped into anyone I know when running. No make up, red face and rather sweaty.

Oh! Well done you! I have really found it so lovely out early, so I am glad that you enjoyed it too. Well done on your time as well. Does this mean that another medal is on the way? Congratulations! 🥇🍾🥂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🎉🎉🎉

Thank you 😊 yes another medal on its way 🥇 I’ve ordered a medal hanger as I keep hanging my medals randomly off pictures and cupboards 😂😂 it was really lovely out early all fresh and new 😃

How many running medals in your collection now you star you?!⭐️🏅

Only 6 ... including my cycling ones and one of those was a sympathy medal from last year when I fell off and broke my ankle 😬 but I have a few virtual races booked to do over the coming months!

Only 6! 6! 6 is 6 more than I have! Which is the current winner for most medals? Running or cycling? I have made myself two by laminating a 5k and 6k printed images, which I confess I really like and am quite proud of. Such a little child! Our BBQ guest has fallen asleep!! It is so hot here!

I have replied to you but under my own post ... me and technology 😬🤣

And so you should be proud it is a fantastic achievement! I have 4 for running including race for life and 2 for cycling 😃 i have also got a little pin badge that I ordered when I finished C25K but I might order the actual medal as I am really proud of it! I have tried for years to run without success until I followed this programme and realised it was perfectly ok to just plod along and then this forum was just the icing on the cake 🍰

Your BBQ guest will be surprised when he/she wakes up and realise that they have been that guest that fell asleep 😴 🤣🤣

It’s hot here too 30 degrees 😅

So running is currently winning!

Our guest won't be surprised as he used my daughter's bed! She has flown the nest. My husband slept too.

I have to agree the C25k is excellent and this forum is so helpfully positive. It may even help me take some extra techy steps forward one day!

Well done Bridget, great work! 🏃‍♀️You’re totally right to feel very pleased with yourself. 👍 It’s a great achievement! 😀

I’ve only ever got 3 medals in my life - 25 yards breaststroke and lifesaving at school, and cricket in the army cadets. I have no idea where they are now! 🥇🎖🏅

Never mind, now I’m a “runner” I can replace them with different bling 😉😂

Thank you 😊 and I think a life saving medal counts as two! Yes now you are a runner you can get loads more! I do the virtual runs and they go right up to marathons I think but I’ll save those for the future and stick to 5k for a while 🤣🤣
