Finally got out to do my wk6 r1 today. My last run was Friday and the guilt was seriously amounting up as I hadn’t been for a run since! Anyway finished work at 1pm then debated on and off to see if I should go for a run or not in the midday heat. I braved on deciding kid free now and wouldn’t be able to go later. Let’s just say I done it but bloody hard. My legs ached like anything, lead heavy and sweating like a drowned rat! But main thing is I did it.
Debating now if I should do next run tomorrow as free otherwise next run would be Sunday??? Any advice?

Week 6 is a hard week. The legs are probably down to not being hydrated enough given that you’ve had a nice long rest from running.
Doing two runs on the trot is a big ask of any newer runner. W6 especially, I wouldn’t risk it. Chances are you would be fine but you could end up with an injury. I’d put it off to Sunday in your shoes.
Make sure you get plenty to drink the day before. This weather will dehydrate you just existing, let alone running.
