Well just started, W1R1, did it on a treadmill. What are people's thoughts on doing this on treadmills. I set a 2% invline.

You know I’ve done mine in a treadmill and I wouldn’t worry about the incline just concentrate on the running it will all come in line at the end. Keep going well done

Lots of people do it on a treadmill.

The incline thing is important if you plan to run outside as it goes someway towards how much harder running outside can be. Someone will be able to advise whether 2% is right.

I prefer running outside but, if it works for you and keeps you running, go for it.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan will give you answers to many questions healthunlocked.com/couchto5... including use of the treadmill, if that is what you want to do.

An incline is recommended, especially if you intend to transition to outdoors at some point.

Enjoy your journey.

Runing indoors is preferred by some, others only run outside. If you can do either then that is ideal because you can still run no matter what the weather throws at you. But if you prefer one over the other that is fine. There is no absolute right or wrong

I do both, each has its own challenges and advantages. Just enjoy! Good luck!

I did the programme outside, but come the winter I will be heading to the treadmill when it's cold, wet and blowing a gale.

However, it is really lovely outside, but I live in a small town so outdoors is good. I have done city running, not so pleasant, for sure.

Enjoy the programme, be warned its addictive 🙂
