There was a slight breeze so i was feeling ok. However i really really struggle on hills. I cant even walk up them. I hit a slight hill at around 16 mins and managed to get up it but then had to wait to cross a rd and I just couldn't get my breath back. I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest and I felt sick. Couldn't get breathing back on track. I walked at about 18 mins then started to run again at about 21 mins. I'm so dissapointed. And I have a bad knee again. Grrr.

Oh rotten eck! If this happens again stop. Then, once your breathing is normalised, you can jog on. Better than giving up on the run, and helpful as regards confidence
Don’t worry though, this is normal stuff, and won’t have any detrimental effect on future runs. Forget it and press on 💪👍😃🏃♀️
Sounds like you need to slow down a bit. Be good to yourself and realise it seems most of us have at least one run like this but we get back on the horse and do it another time.
This heat is really hard to run in unless you go out super early.
I echo the other comment, even if it does feel slower than walking, you sound like you do need to slow down. The programme is meant to be done at “conversational pace”, so you could talk continuously to someone running with you.
But it may just be the heat. Good luck for your next outing.
Hmmm. I do the walk at conversational pace but would never be able to jog and talk ( I am seriously not fit) and my jog is really slow. Like old men collecting their morning paper are walking past me. 😂😂
