Hi! I’m a C25k newbie - and think I might be getting the running bug!

I did my first w1r1 a couple of weeks ago, hated the first two, then got a buzz because I noticed a real difference by run 3.

Managed to progress to W2r1 and almost enjoyed it then had to take a week off due to an infection.

Was really keen to get out today and did a week one run to break me back in. It wasn’t easy, especially not in this heat, but I love the feeling of satisfaction when I’ve completed it.

I’m working towards a 5k charity run in September, but have signed up for a fun run next week; but am now worried, is it too early? Lots of children will be doing it, so I’m pretty sure I won’t be on my own at the back!

Looking forward to being motivated and inspired by this group.

Depends how long the fun run is. You'll be best off walking/running it in whatever time ratio you've reached on C25K.

As for kids, some of them can run scarily fast!!!

If you walk and run, the fun run should be fine. Just don’t get carried away and run too far. Enjoy your next run.
