Hi, just started week 2 and am really enjoying this - even in the sweltering September heat!!
Not long back from hols where I just felt I couldn't stand my legs rubbing together anymore or the feeling of being so out of breath just walking up a slight incline. Enough was enough!
Totally motivated to see this through and combined with a sensible eating plan saw a 5lb weight loss in the first week. Onwards and upwards. Even took delivery today of new running shoes and proper running padded socks. Doing 2nd run of week 2 tomorrow evening. I'm in it for the long haul.

We are all kind here. Well done on getting started. The programme is great. Follow it and go slow and I am sure you will love it. Welcome and look forward to hearing about your progress.

Welcome. You'll find this is the most friendly, supportive forum around.
We've all been there, any help or advise you need or any questions you want to ask, just holler. Someone will have been there, and there'll be many who wanted to ask but didn't.
Keep us up to date with your progress and be prepared to become addicted.
Hi dereham-girl , great that you've joined here. I can't think of anywhere better to hang out during c25k. Everyone is kind ☺and super supportive too. We'll done on finishing week 1 and on the weight loss too. Keep posting and let us all know how you're getting on...
Good! You are committed to that now cos you said it on here. LOL
Don't expect to lose 5 lbs every week though will you. Week 2 is usually more modest. If you continue to run and eat healthily then you will see a steady weight loss. You won't need to take in any additional calories while doing C25k by the way
Have fun! It's a great programme. Just go nice and slowly and you'll be fine.
"Welcome welcome welcome" as my old Radio pal Nicholas Parsons would say It's great fun on the run around here. Glad you are joining us, and hope you will stay and run with us
Many of us started at the same place - a flight of stairs or running for the bus would wind me. Stick with the program, it's a real life/mental transformation as you complete it in 9 or so weeks.
OOh, new shoes AND socks? You are in it for the long haul! BUT, it's the law you have to post a pic of your shoes for us to drool over...
When you have finished all of the runs in the programme, you will be a graduate and get the badge after your name if you ask one of our admin. There's a thread in pinned posts.
