I ran Saturday morning then Saturday night I climbed the highest peak in South Wales to watch the sunset πŸŒ… - it was a bit warm at the bottom but decidedly cold at the top! The view was gorgeous and I think doing the c25k assisted me in getting up there in an hour without needing a stretcher. Coming down was tough on my knees and calves however!

Still sore yesterday so I postponed my run then and it’s 30 degrees here this evening (my legs are solid) and not looking like it’s getting any cooler until the weekend.

It’s my last week and so I want to give it a good shot and not be thwarted by swollen legs and overheating, so I am taking a mini break and heading out Saturday morning on w9r1. I’m not stressing about not finishing in June - I may be first in July instead.

Sounds like a good plan. I did W9R1 on Monday, then went down with a stinking cold Monday night. I’ll be taking a short break to recover too, so hope to see you up on that podium with me early July! No point ruining graduation... πŸ˜Šβ€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒŸ

Well done. Good plan postponing the run.

If you were up Pen-Y-Fan, I spent many a weekend walking and camping around there when I was a student.

Yep, Pen y Fan - it’s the first time I’ve been up it, and I’ve lived down here about 30 years now. Stunning views!

There were a lot of super fit folk around - a load doing the welsh 3 peaks (Snowdon cadair idris and then Pen y Fan) and 2 certifiable but very athletic girls who were running up the peak 😳

What a lovely view! Your mini break sounds like a solid decision. All best for your week 9 runs πŸ™‚

That is a truly beautiful photograph!

Well done for running, then climbing, then having the good sense to look after yourself.

Good luck for the final week.
