Okay, so 6 weeks in and I was up around 5 wanting to get my shoes on and head out. On a Saturday. Sleep in day. Birds were cheering me on - come on, hang out with us! So here I am, dressed and ready to go at 6:45, but waiting another 20 minutes or so to head out so I am a bit closer to sunrise for safety. Thing is, I am NOT a morning person and not normally a fitness freak. What happened? Is there a cure? πππ
Is this normal?: Okay, so 6 weeks in and I was... - Couch to 5K
Is this normal?
I find that on run days I am awake earlier than usual but I am a morning person anyway. It's the same when I'm running a new route, if I decide I'm running somewhere new, again, I'm awake super early irrespective of what time I got to bed the night before.
I didn't used to be a morning person, as a teenager I'd think nothing to sleeping until 3pm on weekends and had trouble getting up for school too as it was slow and boring.
Is there a cure, possibly but you wouldn't like it as it would be stopping running and becoming a lay-a-bout.
Maybe itβs just confidence/boosted energy levels. I normally run mid morning after work. Up at 2am 6 days a week..... Iβve heard rum helps.
Normal? No. But who wants to be normal!? π€£
The cure is actually more running ππ»π
This is actually a support group for those in the same boat. We feel your pain ππ
No cure... just take the run and Enjoy!!!! x
π€£π€£π€£πππ no cure and itβs contagious!!!!!
Back from a 5K walk/run. It was lovely and a bit damp, very refreshing! I think the fact that so many of you replied before 8 says I am in the right place with the best of company! πππ
Oh oh hope you are sitting down as I have bad news - you e caught the running bug. It's quite a nice one to have in that it actually has many health benefits both physical and mental. One side effect can be you turn into a running bore. But the solution to that is when family and friends are fed up hearing you go on about your achievements come on here as we will always be your cheer leaders. Go girl go πββοΈππββοΈ
Or you could get your friends and family running too. No sign of it in my house yet though. π
Give it time. My family are all runners already and they go "duh yea, we've been doing this for years, stop going on about it. We said well done when you graduated" ha ha
Well done you, I'm jealousπββοΈ π . The weather here is so bad I'm debating whether it's safe to get in the car and go to the gym, let alone run my usual route. I figured the gym might be lovely and quiet this morning ππ
No snow in Somerset, thankfully for us all π. Just 70 mph winds and horizontal rain
Sorry no cure ππ. It's amazing how awake and energised you feel. I love how running makes you feel so good especially on a Saturday morning after parkrun. π
Not quite ready to be around other people yet, but I am definitely keen to check it out once I know I wonβt be at the back of the pack!
Don't worry I did c25k on my own and never ran with anyone. The 1st time at parkrun I was a bit nervous, after that I realised I'd nothing to be nervous about. π
