How do you all record your running stats??

I'm now at that stage where it's solid runs all the way (W7). I currently just use my Fitbit to measure all the stats, but then I transfer that data into a little pocket diary, so at a glance I can see where I've done good/bad/sts, for time, duration, splits etc.

Someone recently posted a picture of a spread sheet they'd created to record everything, and I've got to admit, I thought I'd died and gone to spread sheet heaven (you've just got to love them, and if complete with a graph - even better!!) but having just spent the last half hour scrolling back through hundreds of posts, I can't find the post from whoever done it.

As Laura assures me I am now officially a runner so I wanted to track my progress. I've made a feeble attempt at creating something similar myself (but probably on a smaller scale) but just wondering what does everyone else do?? Do you leave it up to your smart phone/watch app or do you do something different??

I let Strava and Garmin track all my progress/runs. 😊

Here you go. I collect the data from Apple’s built in exercise app.

I was just about to post a link, I knew it was your comment she was looking for!

Remembered it as I was super impressed with your dedication 😀

Thanks Jay!! My Fitbit collects all the data fine, but I’m out twice a day walking the dogs, go dancing once a week and most weeks grab a bike ride at some point and I’m finding I’m scrolling up and down through lots of data just to find my running stats.

Nerd alert, sorry, but I’m very impressed with your data collection!! 😃

Thanks. I figure if I measure everything I can claim progress wherever it happens. “Ooh, fastest third K” kind of thing.

I’m also still struggling to believe I’m really doing this at all!

That link looks broken. Go to the top of the forum and it is there at the moment.

I use a Fitbit and sync to Strava, which I also use to track my cycling. The only downside is after a while you see other ‘athletes’ on there running some or all of the routes you’re doing and that makes you realise they are so much fitter!

My heart rate monitor syncs to both Strava and Endomondo, so I don't need to do anything. Apart from run around I suppose.. :-)

Thanks guys!! The issue I have with my Fitbit is that it gathers data from when I’m out walking the dogs, or at my dance class, or cycling as well as all my run stats. It make it difficult to compare purely just the running data. Maybe I’ll add a separate running app then just for the runs that I’ll clock up.

Thanks for all your thoughts though 👍

Map my run is free and I’ve found it reliable. A voice clicks every km with overall and split time
