Hello all! Finally started ‘Couch to 5k’ today. Any tips and motivation would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced! Can’t wait to post in 9 weeks to say I’ve finished 🏃‍♀️

Once you get into it you will find you own rythem and things that work for you. Some people like music and some don't but once you get into it the weeks fly by and you won't believe that 9 weeks are up. Good luck and keep going.

Motivation needs to come from you - why are you doing this particular thing and why now?

Tips: take it slowly. Get some reasonable running shoes eventually and (if you are a lady) a good sports bra immediately. Most of the effort after the first few weeks is mental. Get used to pushing to the end of each run no matter what your brain tells you.

Most of all, enjoy it.

Slow down and slow down again. Also regularly visit and post on this forum. The support is fantastic! Good luck 👌🏽

Well done Jae! Maybe set yourself a target goal for when you reach the last week?

My goal is to finish C25k and when I do I’m allowed to buy myself some new (proper running) trainers 😁 It’s a great incentive!

I think you might need proper running shoes long before W9!!
