Just had my first run that I couldn't complete. Stopped after 15 mins legs were hurting and soo heavy. I was really hot too.

I am a little disappointed but holding onto I ran 15 mins which is more than I ever did before I started this.

I feel you, I’m sat on the sofa with an ice pack and a grumpy face having only gotten through half (in fact not quite half) of run 1 week 6 😠😔😩

I’m annoyed as this is the first week I’ve given up during the run, but I’d had a few weeks off and it was hurting even when walking so I decided to be sensible not stubborn for a change!

But I’ll try again in a few days and I’m sure you will too, and next time we’ll nail it!!!

Go team c25k 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🏆🏅🙌🏻

We will !! I am still so proud and shocked that I have got this far. Rest up and as you say we will do it. The set backs are annoying but we will get there.

Hi Karen, you still ran which is a good practice. Throughout the programme my worst week was W7, don't know why but was the week I thought I would fail. I didn't, just slogged it out. W8 totally different and loved it. Keep at it and believe it is just a blip. Will be looking out for your post to say W7 done! :)

Same think happened to me at the same point. I repeated W7R1 & just carried on! Finished the programme yesterday (terrible run but I did finish!), so don’t be disheartened- you’ll get there😉

Hi Karen, no worries, it will be fine next time & you still ran & built up your running legs a bit more. 😃

Heavy legs feeling can be caused by dehydration - drink plenty on all days, not just running days. Have a rest & try again - we are waiting to cheer for you! 😄

P.S Remember to start really slow and stay slow.

Thank you. I did go out last night as I getting married on Saturday. I wonder if the alcohol played a part. 🤤🤤

There are so many variables that can make running difficult and you learn to organise your life to minimise its impact on your runs.

Did you mention alcohol................it can be very dehydrating, so up your water levels. I rarely drink the night before a run, which is a great way to help limit alcohol intake.

Have a rest and try again.

Thanks yes it was my Hen night ! Probably not the best idea. It is the first time I have run after a drink. I don't drink alot. So that probably didn't help.

There must be a special award for running after your hen night. 😄

I hope your wedding is a wonderful celebration and every best wish for your marriage. 😄
