Just back from 6/1.....oh dear...

After the high of 5/3 and thinking I was finally getting somewhere I feel very discouraged this morning.

I found 6/1 really hard going. Can't imagine how I will ever run 25 mins by the end of the week. Was even more discouraged by Laura saying how easy it should be feeling......

Has anyone else struggled with this? Have I got a case of post 5/3 blues??

I'm doing W6R3 tomorrow. I've found this week much harder than the others, especially the first run of each session. I felt great after W5R3 and could have gone for longer I think. Hopefully tomorrow will be good, I think doing it without the rest interval might actually be better as the rythm doesn't get interrupted. I will find out :)

I think the program does this to stop you overdoing it & getting an injury. I too found this run really hard. going back to intervals & having to start each time & seeming to finish just when I was getting into it. it will get easier. dont worry too much. you have run for a full 20mins without stopping so by your third run of this week you will definately be able to conquer 25mins. dont let those demons step up onto your shoulders & start whispering in your ear. listen to laura, take it slowly & you will be fine.

week 6 is different for everyone. some just sail through & others, like you & me, find it difficult going back to stop start.

good luck for the rest of the week. shelley x

I've just got back from this run too. I also found it hard going but the knowledge that I had done week 5 run 3 really kept me from giving up. I think the intervals are harder than running non-stop for some reason. I ran much too fast, I'm not sure why. Maybe I was overconfident after my last run! Good luck with your next run.

I found week 6 the worst! How odd that running for 20 whole minutes was easier than running for 10 minutes twice! Week 7 was better!

I've just done this run today, because of time constraints last week week I had done 5/3 yesterday, but I too found it did seem to be more difficult, whether that was in part of not having a break from yesterday's run or the fact that it seemed almost like going backwards with the intervals, even though covered same distance in same time. I'm hoping that the next run will be better though
