Well Wednesday I run πββοΈI get half way through and after a good feeling with usual "good mornings" from dog walking group and the dogs πΆ then a couple of jack Russell's jumping up at me barking (not so good) but got over that instantly. Then strava saying "you run like hippopotamus π€£ππββοΈπ€£ do love this strava strange man π€£.
Then totally out of the blue I think "wow" "I'm running around this lake"
I'm actually running around this lake as I'm training for the charity runs I signed up for.
Then it starts "my eyes fill with tears, there running down my cheeks π²but I'm still running (slow as I do luckily or I'd have had to stop to compose myself)
I'm still crying for a few minutes then I'm fine still running thinking "what the hell just happened"π²
A very unusual run to say the least.
I complete the 30 minute run πββοΈfeeling lighter ππ
Then today off I go, starts running πββοΈkeeps running πββοΈ, does 5k πββοΈamazing run πββοΈ no tears ππ
Such different runs on such different days π

Thereβs a Buddhist saying βyou canβt step into the same river twiceβ, meaning everything changes all the time, like the water flowing away and being replaced by new water with new things in it.
The run is different; the weather is different; the place you are running changes (even if itβs the same place) and you change too.
Iβve shed some tears running. Frustration. Elation. Whatever. Itβs one of the things that makes us human.
Well done for your runs! Sounds like you were whizzing round on the last one! thatβs Runkeeper I think with the man from the USA ... he told me I run like a gazelle and I thought little do you know ... then he told me I run like a hippopotamus... I thought oh maybe you do know π€£π€£π€£ then he said I could go home and drink a bottle of wine and I thought yup you really do know! ππππ
Bridget haha π you've got the same crazy guy π€£
he said that to me this morning
But I still don't know what a gazelle is π€£he doesn't know me well though telling me about wine π· wine I'd so prefer something bit stronger πππ₯
Oh god I thought it was strava π€£π I have both apps running as couldn't choose between them ππ.
A gazelle is like a graceful antelope ... nothing like me π€£π€£ I have both apps running too but I like the calories burned on Strava ... so many more ... enough for an extra glass π· or in your case π₯ πππ
Yeah strava shows more calories burned than Runkeeper ππ₯π·maybe one of these tomorrow as a treat π I've actually got a bottle of prossecco that someone bought me at Christmas so I may just listen to the funny man and have the bottle π€£πββοΈπ
Wow well done! It seems to do strange things to us this running. I think we are focussing on our body so much we step right out of our heads. Probably then let's our subconscious come out...or something π Strange things whatever the reason!
It was a bit rob, Wednesdays run πββοΈwas so emotional but it did me the world of good as today was an amazing running πββοΈexperience ππwin win ππ
Hi Kar. What an unexpected outpouring of emotion. Must have felt very strange but I guess for whatever reason it had been building up in you. It must have had a fantastic emotional cleansing effect for you to have such a great next run! Glad you are feeling so good about it.
I've done rain running πββοΈbut not cry running πββοΈππtill then.
I just remember thinking what's going on but so glad i didn't stop to think it over as I got through it and like you said I had a great next run πββοΈ so what ever happened that morning made all the difference to today πππ
The thought of every run is different is enough to keep us at this running πββοΈππββοΈπ
