Another day, another run. Today a 30 minute NRC recovery run with a little Headspace input.
Today's takeout: each run is different, because you are different each day. I'm "measuring" my runs in that I know how often to run, how long to run for, and how far I have run. It's interesting to keep track of. But I'm not necessarily "big time measuring" - so the macro big picture matters to me, but the micro detail is pretty much irrelevant.
It's the process that really matters - the fact that ten weeks ago I could not run for a minute and today I ran pretty comfortably for 30 minutes. Sixty metres down the garden was a big deal at the start of the year; 4.6k is a big deal today. But I don't want running to be an item ticked off a check list - cleaned the kitchen/done the shopping/work planning done/run out of the way ...
I am aiming myself at a mental space where I enjoy running and feel good about myself because I run. Today was a step closer to that.

Go you! The wisdom of running. I've done 8 consolidation runs now and feel really comfortable in my running skin too whereas 4 months ago 1 minute was a serious challenge. Yes, you're right it's something to enjoy and to value for so many reasons. Keep it up πββοΈ πββοΈ πββοΈ
Hi, I think I listened to the same headspace run today - all about how today's run is unique and will never be repeated under the exact same circumstances. It was great.
I love what you say about just running for the enjoyment, at the end of the day that is what it should be about. And feeling good about yourself.
Well done on another great consolidation run - keep it up
I'm certainly liking the app. There's a lot of choice at the moment - though a lot are too short or too long for me. Love the variety though! And here's to happy running!
