Week 5 Run 3 mind over matter

So today was the day of the much anticipated run 3 of week 5 - the jump from 8 minutes running to 20 minutes running.

I had mentally prepared myself for this one since completing run 2 - mainly by waking in the middle of the night thinking about it and several trips to the loo this morning .

Well - it was tough - but at no point did I think I couldn’t do it or I had to give up - to be honest after the harder first 10 minutes the final 10 minutes actually went in the blink of an eye.

So - I’ve done it - I am pleased but more over I’m now keen to crack into week 6 which by all accounts is a hard week - but then don’t we all say that about every new week?

From 5 weeks ago where I found running for 60 seconds difficult to now running 20 minutes non stop is amazing and shows the plan works!

Great to hear many congrats - very inspiring! Am on week 3 and thought if 20 mins still seems very scary to me!

Well done, but W5R3 is a minute shorter than your previous workout, which was 16 minutes running (not 8) with 5 minutes brisk walking.

Look out for W6R1 it catches many out........stay slow.
