W5R2-was not expecting that!

I started struggling with the 3x 5 min runs in W5R1, but made it through with the encouragement of my running buddy, my 10yr old daughter. I was feeling achy in the hip flexors (I think) after a Pilates class the previous day. I took 3 days to properly recover from both bouts of exercise before venturing out alone tonight. I was taken aback to find out that this run was different to the last. 8 minutes of running? Twice?! Well, I made it, and am now resting my heavy legs! I’m feeling a mixture of pride that I kept going, despite the clock watching and tired calves, and apprehension about 20 minutes running next run.... As for week 6, I’m not even looking at that schedule yet!!

Well done! You should be so proud of yourself 😀 In terms of the 20 min run, it's completely doable. If in doubt take an extra rest day 👍
