W5 off to a flying start

Just completed first run for Week 5. Although it was hard I think I found it easier than week 4. After run 3 of week 4 I was condidering it wasn’t for me and giving up, I’m glad I didn’t!

I was the same; W4 terrible, struggled, almost gave up; W5 a breeze! Loved it! Carry on enjoying! 🏃🏻‍♀️

I hope I feel the same when I finish it! From what I’m reading Week 6 is a bit of a crusher

Have last run week 6 tomorrow. Been ok, but trying to get used to new running shoes which has thrown me a bit. I think everyone has their own tricky weeks or runs. Sure there are some ahead of me still. I just put one foot in front of the other and hope for the best!

I hated wk 6!! Just grit your teeth and get through it, it’s worth it!

I’ll do my best. I’ll be in cephalonia for week 6 but still planning to give it a go. The good thing is that I should be able to do my runs in the morning instead of after a day at work.

Thanks everyone, it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one who has a hard time with this and seeing everyone else’s commitment encourages me to keep trying!

This forum is the best!! It was my lifeline in the early days. Just nice to know so many are rooting for you! Early morning runs are my favourite and the Cyprus ones were the best!!

I did my first run for W5 this evening as well and delighted that I didn't want to stop short of the final five minutes. It felt good and I'm starting to find that recovery is getting quicker as well. Michael Johnson was so pleased with me he's given me tomorrow off!

Keep going!
