I was actually looking forward to today’s run. I’d had 2 rest days, went swimming yesterday, drank gallons of water, pasta for tea. I was ready. I was raring to go!
But the weather had other ideas. It was HOT! Instead of my normal route, I had to stick to sheltered areas and when out in the open make sure I was running in the right direction to catch what little breeze there was.
It was my slowest run yet but I still did it, just!
And a run is a run right?! 👍

It is indeed. The weather recently hasn't made it easy to start this program. My next run is W8R2 and have decided either mornings or late evening at best as early, mid, late afternoons are hardcore.
Just remember; No matter how slow you run, you're still lapping everybody on the couch!
Absolutely right. And it wasn't easy today, but you still completed it.
We all love the enjoyable, carefree runs where everything is easy, but it is those tough runs where we struggle - the ones where we could so easily give but don't - where we find that inner resolve and just keep on going regardless; well those are the ones for which we should be most proud.
