W9R2 and a first time failure

Working shifts I have always struggled a bit when I have been on 06:00 to 14:00 shifts. Harder to run on afternoon or evening. Today I went out to complete my penultimate run, with dreams of finishing on Saturday morning and graduation. All now in tatters. Today just didn’t have the energy. Not sure what happened but when Laura said 20 mins gone and 10 to go I gave up, legs shaking and knowing there was no chance of reaching my goal. Really frustrated and fed up.

My W9R2 was much the same but I went out and did run 3 and graduated so will you. I’ve just done my first consolidation run. I struggled, did 30 mins and 4K but walked some of it. We all have bad days. Chin up

Never a failure if you got out the door!

Sounds like you were tired and possibly not well hydrated enough. Please don't beat yourself up over it.

Just prepare well for next time and you will be fine.

Some days are just really tough, you've got this far, you know what to do 👍😉

Another one here with a nightmare W9R2. Understand why it was a bad run - work shifts clearly not helping - and do what you can to make the last run easier for yourself. Make sure you get an additional rest day.

Hiya. Thanks for the reply. Going for small 10 - 15 min jog on Thursday and then hitting W9 30 min run on Saturday am. Hopefully have my missus with me. She has just done her first 10 k run so will be big help.

Try not to beat yourself up to much, shifts are a nightmare. Rest up and go smash the third run.
