Well, I decided to be brave and combine my Week 7, Run 1 with my first ever Park Run.
Anxiety set in on the walk from the car park to the starting point - I hadn't really appreciated how hilly this run was going to be (at present I mainly run around a very flat marina!)
Before I knew it I was off and running slower than a slow thing stuck in treacle. Had to stop and walk on a particularly steep section - but throughly enjoyed the return downhill stretch.
Also had major tech issues and the C25K app and Strava which both failed to record my run, fortunately Park Run inform me I managed to shuffle around in 42 mins & 20 secs. Was aiming for a sub 40 result but happy with what I achieved given the unexpected hills 😂

Well done! Park run is awesome - I walked it all to start with am now combining my R3 each week and setting PB everyone is so encouraging, no-one comes last because there is always an official tail-end-Charlie. I did the W4 including the walk warm up, and after the cool-down I just walked and trotted my way to the finish as I felt able. It’s such fun. If you can walk 5k in an hour I’d suggest anyone do it.
