Hello you lovely lot! This evening my friend and I completed week 9 run 3. We started this journey together and finished it together and it feels amazing π
Never in a million years did I think I would be able to do this but I proved myself (and others!) wrong. From the first week thinking no way can we do 3 mins, then 5 mins then 8 and 10 mins is impossible!! Thank you to the person who reminded me, when I was worried about running for 20 mins non-stop, that if I wanted to run for 30 mins then of course I was going to have to do 20 and why wasnβt I excited?? From that moment in my mentality changed and I found that yes I was excited and yes it was actually going to be possible!
This forum is such a huge support. Just knowing that there are so many who suffer the same fears, same difficulties and also feel the same incredible achievements is what has spurred me on. So thank you all!
I love running now! Am looking forward to improving my time and then in a couple of weeks building on so that perhaps I can achieve a 10k! I actually know that it is possible! Running has improved my fitness, my body and more importantly my mind as it gives me some time on my own to unwind and listen to things which interest me that my kids would ruin if I tried at home!
I am a runner πββοΈ
Sorry for the essay but I want you all to know how grateful I am for your support, whether itβs direct or indirect. Just by reading your stories you help others so keep posting!
Good luck to all of you nearer the start of your journeys, if I can do this then anybody can.
Much love β€οΈπ¨βππ

Well done!! I finished week 1 yesterday and am thinking exactly as you were "will I ever do this??" It's so hard! I hope I make it fingers crossed π
Brilliant - thank you for celebrating with everyone here and sharing the light-bulb moment! So that's what the end screen looks like?! It's the mental break that I'm starting to get addicted to as well. I never understood it when I 'did' exercise before. Enjoy your running!
