Not much to report - W7R1

Evening all - Managed the W7R1 tonight, 25 minutes in 16 degrees and breezy! Turns out this is slightly easier than W6R3 25 minutes in 25 degrees and high humidity - who’d of thunk it 😂

Usual complaints - flutes and hamstrings almost from the outset, but didn’t get worse so carried on..... but my only observation is that I think I need a change in route.... sub consciously I know where 1/2 way is and where I should be around certain time markers..... time for some discovery.

In an unrelated note - I’m away for a stag do from Thursday to Sunday night. I will do my utmost to do a run while I’m away, but you know how these things go....... 😇

If, per chance, I don’t manage a run, will I run the risk of losing any ground before next Monday (6 days)? Anyone have any experience of slightly extended ‘rest’ periods?

Keep running all! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

I had a longish rest period of about 9 days. I asked advice on here and overwhelmingly the good folk on the forum said try from where you left off. I decided to repeat the very last run I had done, I can't lie it was more difficult and I had to slow the pace down even slower than normal but I was ok, I managed. I left a rest day then did the next run this morning and I'm back to normal, whatever normal is lol

Nice one LL!

While we’ve all been having fun with sallenson post you’ve actually been out doing some work running!

Glad the run went ok.

IannodaTruffe always says (and I apologise if I miss quote you) that you don’t lose much conditioning for 2 weeks but it’s advisable for us C25k ers to run 2 or 3 times per week.

Well jealous of your upcoming weekend! Enjoy! 🍻🍺🍾🥃🥂🍻🍺🍻🍩🍕🍳🍔🍟🧀🍺🍻🍹🍺🍻🍺🥃🍾🍻😴😴😴😴😴

Ahh mate, it’s going to be carnage! I’m too old for these type of shenanigans lmao! But I will def try to do a run in marbs! Honest

I caught some of @sallensons playlist post earlier as I was getting off the train home... asking about Graduation playlists? Funnily enough when I got in the car, the DJ on radio X was playing a running themed playlist! I’ve not had the time to go back to it yet.

Your only option if you miss a run is to start at the beginning of the programme all over again and as an additional penalty you have do each run twice and run it backwards wearing a blindfold and mankini.

In some ways this sounds awfully like your weekend.... :-)

Have a hug. The runs will be waiting in their little box for you to come and breathe alcohol fumes all over them :-)

LOL, next challenge to run a 5k backwards wearing a blindfold and mankini, I might do that come next April the FIRST before noon.

I had a 5 day break a few weeks back, as I was a little bit poorly and on antibiotics. I repeated my last run, then progressed with the plan as normal, and it caused me no extra problems. Good luck 😄
