Don’t all the best horror stories start like that? This one doesn’t but I wish it did....

Carpe diem - I set my alarm early this morning to get up, run for 25 minutes and seize the day. It’s Sunday and I’ve been off for a week..... who am I kidding! So I snoozed and dozed until I had to get up and take my youngest to see Peter Rabbit (he’s a git as well - running around the whole time, I needed a snooze just watching him!)

By the time we get out it’s way to hot at 25/26 degrees so I agreed with myself that I’ll put it off until later..... after all the gardening and general stuff i potter around doing.

6.30pm - can’t delay anymore as people are waiting to eat, but I am starving. Not I need a packet of crisps hungry - eat a small cow hungry..... time for an emergency banana and glass of water.

7pm - stuff on and out I go full of belief in all of you and my bestest mate in the whole world Laura - that I can do this.

7.32 - Finished

I have just run 25 minutes straight! Laura tell me I’m a runner now! (Still not sure about that bit)

I sooooo wish it was a dark and stormy night, in some ways it would have been better…..it wasn't...… It was hot, humid and I started sweating in places I didn’t know I could possibly sweat. I literally sprung a leak! I am totally with Forestgrump - the last 5 minutes were an absolute killer!

The self doubt is still there during the run, but I know I did it.....

You told me

Laura told me

Strava recorded it for me

Now I’ve shown me

It wasn’t easy but I did it!

I DID IT!

Ps - Note to self - You've got to do it 3 more times. Aw maaaaan!

Cheers bud! But it was soooo hard! Lol. But I feel pretty good about it now, although my lungs definitely know they had a work out!.

Yeah - I enjoyed PR actually. It’s up there with Paddington!
