Having grown a bit fed up of having to wait to download the next few episodes of my ever faithful Zombies,Run! I decided to take a look at their 5k training program.
Now, being a graduate of the lovely C25K I was a bit skeptical of their programme. After all, I’m now a 5k runner anyway after 9 weeks of Sarah Millican’s intense and rigorous encouragement, what could I possibly use the Zombies,Run 5k training for? Well, considering that the first week of Zombies to 5k (as I call it) has me running for 15s ten times, every time Doc Myers tells me to run, I treat it like interval training and bolt as if a Zombie is chasing me for 15 seconds
My goal is to use it to make myself faster. I would like to improve my time and be able to do 5k in 40 minutes or less.
I also like that they include some exercises in the programme, currently I'm at heel lifts.
I went out this morning at 6am (not bragging, I was awake because it was so sticky) and did it, before I went to Weight Watchers and found, to my delight, I’ve lost my first half stone and now have a lovely certificate to hang on the fridge door along with all of Mr Psychos
I’m going to pass out on the sofa with a well deserved Diet Coke and vodka
