It was slow, it was hard and it was so warm. I only covered 3.5k in the 30mins but it’s done and I definitely won’t be running mid morning again.
But best part are the views as very blessed with a beautiful canal on our doorstep which does make this process easier and I do love the scenery. Plus the ‘locals’ don’t bat an eyelid at my huffing, puffing and bad hair!! 😊 plus loved seeing heron again 👍🏻

Well done Jo. What a beautiful place to run. I’ve just done run1 and you run at the same pace as me! Not bothered tho - gives us time to appreciate the world around us, as you say!
It was so hard and I seriously underestimated just how muggy it was. I was flagging at five minute mark and test was a real slog. But scenery is godsend 👍🏻
Crack of dawn for me recently or I just melt. I remember back to my first runs, just after the clocks went forward, and I was freezing cold. Never happy!!
I only run at 6.7kmph ( on treadmill so I know speed!) so will only be doing 3.35 km in 30 mins. I’m a long way from running 5k. I’m only short and this speed seems ok for this length of time. I was doing 7kmph on earlier runs but dropped it slightly to make sure I could get to end!!
You’ve done so well. I’m going to try and get motivated for run two tomorrow and hope to get run three over weekend.
