Brick wall?

I imagined that progress would be consistent, but this week, my first after 5k graduation, has been difficult.

I have no ambition beyond getting to 10k (I'm 69 today, so I think that's enough) and I'm following a programme that requires a 2.5k, a 5.5k and a 5k run this week. (I'm also doing Laura's strength and flexibility exercises, and 10,000+ walking steps on rest days.)

However, the 2.5k run, at my normal pace and regular course on Tuesday, was demanding, and I had difficulty completing today's 5.5k this morning - getting my breath was the real problem. (I'm using a Parkrun on Saturday for the 5k.)

Is it normal to have the occasional reversal?

I can’t comment on life after C25k but I will be trying to continue on like you after the final run. If it’s any consolation today was run 2 of week 9 and I struggled big time and can’t pinpoint why but have the odd ones like this. Think as long as your out there doing something your doing well.

Also happy birthday 🍰🎁 go celebrate now and well done 👍🏻

I think it is. People often seem to struggle a bit after graduating. It is also quite humid at the moment which makes everything more of an effort. Although I have been at it a while now I find whenever I complete an organised event I have been working towards I tail right off - and usually have to enter for something else to get me going again!!

Do you know there is a Bridge to 10K forum?

ps: Happy Birthday - bet last year you didn't think you'd be out running on this one.
