I had to take 2 days of rest due to some other priorities, but it made running such a pleasure today.
I think this in part was due to moderate temperature today, a full 7C less than the 24C heat of last run.
I really enjoyed running today. Today’s run has given me confidence for next two weeks. The overall distance/speed is still similar to past runs, but I can feel the fitness improving. I’m consistently able to increase my speed for the last min of run. I kind of sprint (if that’s called a sprint) as soon as Laura declares it’s the last min of the run. I’m recovering quickly after the run.
My hydration plan seems to be working and the stretches are keeping me safe from the injury and stitch. I’ve started keeping track of my water intake on the Fitbit app.
If all goes to plan I’ll be gifting myself the Fitbit Versa at the end of programme 😊 as promised at end of W5
All the best everyone, the goal is definitely achievable now.

I like the extra rest day. I really enjoy the runs that follow two whole days off! When I graduate the plan is to have two days rest in between runs. I've got awful feet and the extra day means they recover fully. I also then have a day for a long walk with my husband!
Completely agree on the two day rest. I always take two days rest before starting the new week, that makes it feel more doable. During the week itself I take a day’s break between runs.
I’ll see how I feel with these longer runs and may stick/change as per what my body tells me.
Figured out that Fitbit app also allows custom amounts. Click on the bottle icon, then click on the + icon at top right hand corner and enter the amount.
I plan to drink about 2.5 ltrs every day. I drink small amount every hour. I don’t drink any liquid an hour before my run but drink a mouthful 10 mins before the run just to avoid getting the dry feeling
