Actually feel like a runner

W8R2 done and I finally feel like I can actually run. Still have issues with getting my breathing right for the first 5 minutes but then it seems to sort it out. Did just over 4km today, so feel I am finally getting a bit faster and going a bit further. Any tips on breathing at the start of a run?

As daft as it sounds I try and think about something else. I find my music helps, and planning my breakfast 😀. If I don’t think about it my running and my breathing find their own natural pace.

Thank you, I do find focusing on something else helps, I will try not to think about it as much.

Just keep plodding on. It’ll sort itself out soon enough. 👍🏽

Slow starts help for me.

And someone posted on here about the toxic ten - the time it takes your body to recognise it needs to send more oxygen to your muscles.

Well done with the progress - not far to go now!

Thank you, the toxic 10 certainly makes sense.
