Hi guys

I’m new to the forum as thought it would help with inspiration. I used to try road running for last 2 years to try and get fit but always found excuses not to go because it was raining or it was too hot. But have jumped onto the couch to 5k app and so far after completing week 1 that I’m actually looking forward to the runs although on a treadmill.

I decided to do this app to help motivate my wife to get fit (she is on week 2 as I got an injury) and to help my breathing with running as this always seemed to be an issue with me.

So I was wondering if others are using treadmills and if so how do you keep it enjoyable on the treadmill. We currently listen to music.

Also how are people finding their breathing with the running? Does it get easier?

Welcome back to running! It’s a fantastic programme so I’m sure you both will be enjoying success along the way.

I found the breathing does come more naturally as you keep going with runs....oddly for me the less I thought about it the more my breathing seemed to work. Music and podcasts help to take your mind off it too.
