It wasn’t good enough to make me feel I was any better than W1R1. I really struggled. I feel a little sad now 😥😥

If you've got to week 5, you're a lot better than week 1. Running for 5 minutes on 6 separate occasions and 48 minutes of running in week 4 is testament to that.

Everybody has bad runs. I'll bet the next one will be better.

I really hope so, I was really disappointed. I have slept most of the afternoon and have worked horrendous hours in the last 4 days swapping from a night then days - I shall put it down to that!

There is your answer then..no worries.. move on steadily!

Don’t be sad! For me some runs seem more difficult than others for no reason at all. It’s a great achievement just to push through and finish. Great job getting to week 5 - keep going 👏

I could hardly do 3 mins run! It is just a bad run and you are right, there are good and then a bad run but I was doing really well. Next time I will crack it, I feel like doing week 4 again.

Sounds like you’ve had a lot going on with shifts and the heat was really bad today. I’m sure you’ll smas the next one 👍

Sounds like you've had a tough run. Be proud, sometimes we just get on and get it under our belt. You are making progress, it's just not always obvious.

Chin up. cheer up and tuck this one away.

Slow and steady as you go.... make sure you are upping your rest day exercise too..stamina and strength need building as the runs get longer

Just take it gently... you will do this..if you are still struggling, then just slow down more:)

Shift work - especially the night-day swap, really saps your energy, doesn’t it? Well done you,for even attempting a run! You will be fine on your next run. Look after yourself .

Working shifts is a killer, fitting in runs and meals, stick with it, you are doing amazing. 5 weeks! X

Go for it, one bad run means nothing, you are here you’ve achieved the previous weeks, be proud

Respect to you for doing this and working shifts....you may be panting and feeling sluggish but look how much further you are running. You will do this . Good luck!

Hi don’t be downhearted. I started week 5 run 1 and found that harder than run 2. I think it gets easier when you run for longer, rather than breaks. Keep going 😊

Sally we all have bad days, I struggled with the stairs to the gym today! Keep at it.

Sally don’t feel sad, you are half way through the programme!! Any run, even one you think is bad - is still extra miles the the jogging bank!!!

Last week I completed week 8 and every run I was unhappy with. I almost thought about giving up, this morning I completed run 1 of week 9, and it was the best run ever!!!!

Keep going, you can absolutely do this! c

Hi Sally, don't worry, I struggled through Week4, so I repeated it so that i could do it with some ease....take your time and customise the pattern a bit by repeating a few runs here and there to suit your needs...you can do it...keep at it...good luck

But you still did it!

I feel exactly like you, I’ve just done run 2 of week 5 and really struggled which I found disheartening but I keep reminding myself I’ve run 8 mins straight which is a vast improvement to week 1 where I was struggling to run for 60 seconds at a time. So even though I’m still struggling, I’m struggling at a higher level!

You can do this, don’t let one bad run get you down!!

If it was easy everyone would have completed it years ago. Stick with it and one day you’ll surprise yourself with an easy run.
