I was on an absolute high yesterday evening having completed w5r1, can’t believe I was able to run for 3 five mins and feel so good!

But me oh my am I a wreck this morning, body is shattered. I’ve been very good about my post run stretches and water etc, has anyone used any other nice stretch routines for days when you’re feeling so exhausted?

I found an Epsom salt bath helped after a run and also lying in your back with your feet raised ( up a wall??) for about 20 mins prevents achey legs the next day too. Something about dispersing the lactic acid buildup? I’m not very technical but this worked for me

Thanks for those ideas; legs not too bad currently but I will defo treat myself to nice bath today 👍🏻

The Run Experience on YouTube has some great information with coach Nate.

Are you exhausted immediately after the run? What's your breathing like when you finish the last run and start your warm-down walk?

That’s all pretty good thankfully ; was just this morning that felt so 😵😵😵

Took some of the advice from other comments though (gentle stretches and nice Epsom salts bath) and have to say I feel great now 👍🏻
