Park run - no

Today was supposed to be my first park run, but torrential rain and an overnight temperature of 5 degrees made me snuggle under the duvet for a bit longer and then think sod the run there’s always next Saturday? Trying to convince myself further, I reasoned that 8.00am is an unsociable time on a Saturday anyway for a park run. After a miserable run on Thursday, didn’t want a repeat of that, so breakfast, then hmm what shall I do now? and weirdly this forum came to mind c25krs who run in snow, hail etc and thought don’t be a wuss, watched the mercury rise to a sub tropical 7 and thought I can do this so put on my new cap, new fleecy lined leggings, fingerless gloves and magic! I looked like a runner, must mean I am one - well actually yes I am! He he,so off into the grey yonder, ran for 2 and a half k’s and the sun came out and shone and shone oh! how a bit of that yellow stuff puts a whole new perspective on things, extra spring in my step now and I ran and ran some more. In the end it was 5k and as my Dad used to say I am now absolutely jiggered.
