2 good runs, this coming week, then Saturday.
For anyone just starting out, I never thought I would ever be able to become a runner, but I am, mixing now with lovely people, plus all the wonderful support on this site.

well done and isn't it great that you can feel that good about something you did for you? Not dependant on anyone else, just you running for you. well done
Ah, someone was asking about the Finsbury Park one the other day, they were thinking of doing that one or Highbury Fields today as their first Parkrun. I remember you saying FP was pretty hilly!
It is, there is a lovely gentle run down, then a very long run up, that saps your strength, you run the course twice. I will do it again, when next babysitting in London. Itβs my son and daughter-in-law regular run. They are both like whippets. Lol
Go for it! My pb is 38:28, first time I did it at the start of June was 46:59. I think you naturally get a bit faster as you get to know the course. That first time I had never run a whole 5km before and took it really easy as just wanted to make it to the end without stopping. I would love to be able to run it in 30 minutes but not sure I'll ever be that speedy! π
