After going through a lot of pain & being diagnosed with early hip & back Arthritis I had to give up C25K, I tried W1 twice I was very disheartened but there is a silver lining I take the painkillers which at the moment are mild & I have been doing 5K 3xweekly mostly walking but yesterday so pleased with myself I actually managed a few jogs between lamp posts.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

This explains how to do the runs, which might even be slower than you can walk. If you can jog between lampposts then I suspect that you would be capable of working your way gradually through the programme.

The pace should be s!la and you are totally in control, but it has a great structure to work with.

Wishing you the best, whatever you decide to do.

Sorry you’ve got it stacked against you. Would going to a gym be possible? They have lots of low impact cardio machines. You could still get good fitness without the stress to joints. Ask your doctor if that would be a good idea.

Sounds like you are doing everything right, then. No point in doing something that could be damaging to yourself. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. 😀
