Good evening fellow runnies!
So after a whopping 2 rest days I went out tonight again after work. I decided to do the stamina podcast again, which I felt was quite hard work, though I completed it fine, but at a slightly slower pace than before (averaged 6:39 per km). I was wondering why I found this run quite difficult, and I think it's a combination of being at work from 8am to 6pm, driving an hour back, having some food (I was starving!!) and then going out probably only about 45 minutes after eating. I think that was too soon, I shall take note for next time. Normally I eat after running, but I was starving...
Picking up on what lovely folks like helenwheels have said to me, and a few more of you (you know who you are!) maybe I need to start thinking about longer distances. I think I might show my face over in the 10k forum and get some advice / bullying I'm not sure I feel like doing 10k though... but it would be a better distance, as it opens up many more circular runs, as the out and back canal route, lovely though it is (see pic!), is getting a little too familiar now. Just a thought.
Yeah - I might need to work up to that!!! ;D
