Fallen behind a little

So i was due to do w7 r1 on sat (just gone) but due to family commitments, i didnt manage to get out. This is the first time I missed a run and i felt a bit rubbish about it. So I resolved that I would pick up where i left off this morning and just start again... however, some other personal circumstance and a severe lack of sleep stopped that plan in its tracks too.

I have my little boy with me all day tomorrow, so it wont be feasible for ne to run tomorrow, so im planning to get out early on Thursday morning. By that point, it will have been a week since my last run... will it feel harder? Will i have lost condition?

It's not a great feeling when it doesn't go to plan!

It happens to us all.

You will not lose condition for about a fortnight, so just pick up where you left off.

You may even find that the extra rest days mean your better rested and raring to go.

I'm betting you'll do better than ever. You'll be well rested and of course motivated! Good luck, will be looking for your update Mama. S.

It reassures you that you're going to stick with running if you're so worried about missing runs. Week off will probably have done you good and you'll smash it on Thursday 🙂

I had a 4 day lay off for similar reasons and just picked up where I left off...and if you do have to pick up a little further back, there is no shame in having the good sense to listen to your body. You will get there. Good luck!

I am in a very similar position. I was going to rest until Saturday and repeat W6R3 ( a week later), then go for week 7 as of the following Tuesday.

Following the advice here, I might just start week 7 at the next opportunity.

Go for it! Its the same length of time so go for it and see how you go. If its a struggle, you can always repeat then. Im going to start w7 tomorrow morning 😊 let us know how you get on!
