Week 3 run 1

I know it sounds silly but I was genuinely scared to run 3 minutes. I had already given up before I started in my head. I'm finding it hard to fit 3 runs a week in and for this I was determined to give this run my best shot. Firstly I done the 90 second run and was really happy with myself and got through It with ease but was dreading the next run. But I just put my favorite song on and remembered to take my time. I didn't need to get though this quickly, i just needed to get through it. I concentrated on my breathing while singing along to my tunes in my head. I did struggle but was so proud when I got through it. The second 3 minute run was a lot harder as I was tired but knowing I just done it, I knew I could do it again.

The main thing I love about this programe is that each week I'm shocked at how well the transition goes. Last week I struggle to get through 90 seconds but yet I doubled that today and didn't die like I thought I would. Looking forward to watching my progress

Great post... very well done... and thank you for posting this:)

Newbies please take note.

We are always explaining to folk that, yes, the programme is so well structured that, if you take it slowly and steadily... you can and you will do it.

You are proof that the right approach and trusting this will set you off for a happy and injury free journey:)

Very, very well done... off you head to the next runs:) Please, keep posting:)

All I can say is prepare to be shocked even more! Some of the runs you have coming seemed impossible in the first few weeks, yet an old, unfit bloke like me has managed them.

Enjoy the rest of the programme.

You're doing great! Don't worry if you can't fit 3 runs in a week. I mostly fitted in 2 runs a week but got there in the end, it doesn't matter if it takes longer than 9 weeks 😊

And dont forget a 20 minute mile is the same distance as a 10 minute mile, go as slowly as you need to
