Persuaded my son to look after his younger sisters on sat morn so my sister , my eldest daughter and I are going to experience a Park run , there are 3 within a 1/2 hour drive so we are probably going to choose the flattest of them 😂 my eldest is a day off graduating and my sister is doing a slightly different version of c25k , any tips for first time Park runners

Enjoy it! I love them! Walked my first in week 1 in 48 minutes. By week 7 I could run the lot! Try not to go off too fast as the excitement can take you off! Everyone is lovely. You’ll be hooked, I’m sure!

How exciting! My goal for the end of the program is to do a park run too! Good luck and enjoy! 😀

Spoilt for choice having 3 so close, will help in mixing it up now and again! You’ll love it!

I did my first one on Saturday just gone, you'll love it! Only tip is stay near the front before the start of the race so that you can hear the pre race instructions from the course marshall, and they usually take first timers off to the side for an extra briefing about the process at the finish line.

Once the race is going to start just linger towards the back of the group as there's likely to be some very quick runners at the front! 😀

Did my first one on Saturday - wish ours was all flat! Our ‘1st timers’ talk was 10 mins before the start so I’d find out when yours is. They will explain the course and rules on which side to run so you don’t get run over by the fast runners!

I then stayed near the back as all the fast runners sped off! Keep it slow and steady and walk parts if you have to. I did the first 4K a bit too fast so found the last 1k tough but did it!

The support around the run is great and encouraging from the marshals. When you approach the finish line 🏁 it’s an amazing feeling!! Try and enjoy it and good luck! 😊
