Graduated a couple of weeks ago and have been consolidating my 30 minute runs since then, and doing a bit longer at the Park Run. Today I ran the whole 5k for the first time, and in a respectable 32 minutes, which I'm really chuffed with 😊 I did struggle with the last few minutes, and when I stopped I came over all dizzy for a few seconds, which has never happened before. I don't think I was hydrated enough, also I went too fast at the start, carried away by the atmosphere! So by the end I was crawling along! I also forgot to eat my pre-run banana, and I do get low blood sugar sometimes (I'm not diabetic, just need to eat little and often) so that probably didn't help. All in all though it was a good run, 90's dance music carrying me along (!) and lots of friendly folks. I love park run! 😁

Aw thanks Bridget 😊

Congratulations!! 5k is another significant point isn’t it?

Now, the dizzy thing happened to me too once, and seemed to be because I stopped suddenly to nip to a cash machine, without warming down. Not sure of the medical reason, but take care, eh?

Yes I had stopped suddenly - needed to collect my barcode. Was ok after a drink of water, but probably should've warmed down
