I always want to take part at the park run, And I have tried several times but always feel defeated. But now, though I am on the seventh week, I have tried the park run. Unbelieable, I knocked 6 minutes off

That's fantastic! Well done for persevering and not being discouraged. I've never tried a Park run before, it's something I'll maybe aim for once I've got further on with the programme.

I was going to "wait until I'm ready", but then I went and looked at our local Parkrun website, and realised half the people mainly walk it. It means I could've done partial parkruns (with a nice walk to finish off after my legs are empty of running) right from the beginning. I still have a way to go before I run all the way, but already my time is somewhere in the middle. It's nice and friendly (which I found out be volunteering before running). I would encourage anyone thinking of eventually doing the Parkrun to just go for it now. Do it in an hour and a half if need be. Nobody will be nasty to you if you do. We all start somewhere, and every single person there knows that personally.

I wish I'd started early with the Parkruns like this. It's Fun! Well done for improving by 6 minutes. That's a huge step.

Well done on that parkrun! The atmosphere at them is incredible, isn't it? I've now run at 9 different parkrun venues and I've yet to find one that wasn't friendly and inclusive for any potential runner or run/walker. Every site is different, but there hasn't been a run I haven't enjoyed.

If there is anyone out there who thinks that they are not ready for parkrun yet who is on week 6 or above I would say - just go and give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

That is right Adam ! The atmosphere is awesome! I start to long the purkrun I can't wait to Saturday to see how my performance improved. The most thing that make me feel happy is that I never feel defeated. I am enjoying it. I will keep trying other places

Thanks Adam for the reply
