W4R3 completed!! - only just!

Slacked over this weekend as it was my birthday but I got back into the gym today. It was tough and the first 5 minutes were exceptionally hard and I nearly quit but having Jo in my ear telling me how close I was kept me going! Onto week 5!! πŸŽ‰πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Hey well done, and happy birthday :)

I ran with Jo too, and really enjoyed it. I felt she was refreshingly real about the whole thing. Having revisited a few of the podcast runs with Laura recently, lovely though she is, I'm glad I chose Jo. Laura kind-of scares me tbh!

Really well done for getting this far, you're gonna love week 5. Seriously, although R3 seems like quite a challenge, you are totally ready for it, and you will smash it so long as you don't get giddy and set off too fast! My pro tip (lol - Pro???) is to start at your comfortable speed and slow down some more, to make sure you can complete the run. You can work on speed after you graduate, or in the later weeks with the longer runs.

All the best, can you see that podium yet??

Thank you so much! Yeah I’m so glad I chose Jo!

Hahaha that’s a great tip thank you very much!

I’m getting there. It’s starting to seem a lot more possible!

Hey trust me, it is totally possible. As many people on here said to me, if someone like me can do it, I'm quite sure you can. Keep posting, we'll be right here with you. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since I was on week 5 myself, and if I remember rightly, I was trying to avoid admitting to myself that I had a knee problem (just Google "bursitis"). I ran the rest of C25K struggling with knee pain, though I didn't really understand the seriousness of it until I completed it and had to take 2 weeks off!! If I can do it on an injury, you'll be fine.

All the best!

Neil

Many happy returns.

Well done for sticking with it.

Yes as is the mantra Slow and steady at your happy pace and slower if required. It will always get you past your initial toxic ten phase also.
