W4R3 - first podcast

After struggling with the last two running sections during w4r1 and w4r2, I finally cracked it this evening! Consciously slowed myself down and the speed graph in the Samsung Health app shows where I dipped a bit in speed in the middle of each running section, which to me is a million times better than stopping to walk instead. I tried a podcast tonight instead of a music playlist and found it so much better! Concentrating on someone talking made me lose my focus on "to the end of this song and most of the way through the next one" thinking. Thanks to the great encouragement from you lovely folk after my last disheartening run I'm getting there. Will repeat runs 1 and two from this week before moving onto week 5 as I didn't complete either but def in a better frame of mind for them now!

Good for you!! There seem to be a few posts this evening about the "horrors" of W4. I don't have that to look forward to until Saturday. Wish me luck!!

You can totally do it! I think this heat is wiping us all out! I'm in Norhern Ireland so not just as warm as some other areas but it really got to me at the weekend. The jacket was off and I didn't care how many people driving by got a full view of everything wobbling!

There are no horrors in C25K. It is up to you how difficult you make it. If you run at at the recommended easy conversational pace, as described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... then it is all easy, if you go faster.......... that's your choice.

I discovered podcasts on my w5r3 and breezed it, 20 mins flew by and I laughed all the way as I was listening to a comedy show.

Keep up the good work x
